We will have the sand and figures, you bring your open heart and mind!

Join WA4PT during Play Therapy Week. WA4PT's very own Kim Autrey and Emmett Stanfield will be hosting a Sandtray Event.

Sand tray is a versatile, developmentally appropriate intervention play therapists can use with clients to help them express their worlds concretely. This one-hour experiential workshop will provide participants with an overview of how to set up materials, facilitate processing, and document a session with play therapy clients. Participants will have the opportunity to create a sand tray of their own and practice processing skills with fellow participants.

Following the workshop, participants are invited to stay for an additional networking hour where they will have the chance to make their own sand tray figures!

Learning Objectives:

  1. Participants will identify the essential materials and environmental considerations needed to set up and integrate sand tray interventions within the context of play therapy.
